Inspiring new street anthem “100” by H6Z100 (Hbeezyonehundred)

“We be the goons!” In an unquenchable burst of zeal and hunger, H6Z100 (Hbeezyonehundred) is letting us have it with “100”, his latest, hard-hitting release. It is a three-minute and twenty-two second tirade proffered through his Soundcloud, equipped with everything you would expect of a Michigan anthem. The vigorous prance of 808 kicks rumbling beneath a malicious, piano melody and scattering trap percussion, creates a bounce reminiscent of the Detroit sound. Yet, our Ypsilanti native makes it uniquely his own. Through his lively delivery, street-hardened lyricism, and melodious, auto-tuned hook, H6Z100 fully invites us into his existence. Warring between a life on the block, and a love for God, this Midwest emcee has his back against the wall. Yet, as “100” proves, when the heat is on, H6Z100 becomes a force to be reckoned with. He will hit the booth and lash out with a bombing banger. All of his turmoil is destined to pay off; for, “100” is just the song H6Z100 needs to explode.

BT (The Artist) set to release positive hiphop EP “Better Days” [Music + Interview Included]

BT (The Artist)
“Better Days” EP
Release Date: February 8, 2019

They say the world is filled with evil. Well, when making the judgment, they must have left Massachusetts rapper, B.T., out of the equation. Born Bryanne Toney, this Dorchester artist is on a breath-taking, philanthropic mission. In tandem with the upcoming, February drop of his spirited EP, “Better Days”, B.T. pledges to donate half of his record sales to The Base, a sports education organization. Alongside being an incredibly noble gesture, it is a grandiose opportunity for The Base, because this album is prone to push some units. How can it fail when the music is as loving and thoughtful as the mission behind it? Within all four tracks, riding warm, empyrean instrumentals, are powerfully jolting rhymes. From the melodic, trap-rap aesthetic of “Problem”, to the Golden Era, boom-bap nature of the other three records (“For You I Will”, “They Look Up To Me”, and “Better Days”), B.T. never surrenders a moment. Every breath taken in that booth is devoted to an inspirational bar, motivational metaphor, and overall positive message to his following. With each track he reinforces the notion that there are still good souls walking our earth. Yes, we are in a rough spot. However, this fascinating music, and even further captivating act of charity, prove that so long as individuals like B.T. are around, the world will see “Better Days”.

“Better Days” EP available on all digital platforms on Feb. 8th 2019

DJ Free Leonard new song “Let’s Get It In” ft. Young Dirty Bastard

Once play is pressed, an electronic buzz, flavored by various, other EDM-esque synths, will slither calmly into the mix. Sixteen seconds in, it will have bubbled to a climax, before dropping into a groove of Golden Age drums. That is when, Oakland, CA rapper, DJ Free Leonard attacks the mic; and “Let’s Get It In” officially takes off. There are zero distractions on this four-minute opus. No exuberant autotuned melodies; no mumbled, street fables; no unnecessary shrieks or shouts. There is only DJ Free Leonard, and a bottomless pit of bars. The West Coast rapper, seasoned by the Young Dirty Bastard (Wu Tang) feature that blesses his hook, is at his utmost philosophical on this record. He dissects various aspects in his life, especially questioning the importance of certain decisions he has made. Most of all, he champions living; devoting whole verses to bestowing wisdom he’s gained through the lessons he has learned. “Let’s Get It In” is a very insightful listen. It is the mark of a man who has come out of the better end of tribulation; and is now ready to devote every waking breath to this music he loves so much.

3Mind Blight releases powerful hiphop anthem “Make This Right”

“So many times I would try to make this right, make this right!” This may be just the banger to put Oklahoma on the map. A harsh, Tulsa aggression is embedded in both the production and delivery of “Make This Right”; with the city’s own, 3mind Blight, at its devilish helm. Ominous strings, carried by dark brass progressions and gliding 808s create the backbone of this record. Proceeded by the drums, “Make This Right” summons a trap bounce of its own, fit for bumping throughout the Tusla streets. With a beat like this, 3Mind Blight could never resist slaughtering it. He hops onto it in a fever of distorted, menacing voices; switching his flow and dark delivery with every verse he lays. 3Mind Blight’s potential as a lyricist and emcee altogether is unquestionably proven on “Make This Right”. Not only has he elevated his prospect as an artist; but he has likewise given his home of Tusla, Oklahoma a banger to embrace.

EASTCOAST HIPHOP >> Da Twin Prince drops romantic new-age RnB love song “Preparation and Practice”

Like a romantic molasses, Da Twin Prince will slowly slide into your heart. Not empty-handed either; in tow, will be his brand new, anthemic love-song, “Preparation and Practice”; all you’ll need to fall head over heels for this Brooklyn talent. As custom of new-wave, alternative R&B, “Preparation and Practice” is commenced with a pitched down vocal sample. The Farro Jarro production is then spruced up with the surge of a voluptuous bassline; accentuated by sprinkles of snaps and the eventual onset of torrid, trap drums. Over it all, Da Twin Prince gives a performance fitting for the new year. Both vocally and lyrically, the East Coast crooner seems refined on this record. He easily slips into heart-turning harmonies and amorous melodies, both devoted to sending a significant message to his significant other: any one before him was just “Preparation and Practice” for the love he’ll give. When a penchant for songwriting meets a talented taste for melody, artists like Da Twin Prince naturally result. And when that force is at its most sensuous, infectious peak, bangers like “Preparation and Practice” must be anticipated. Just wait until the radio gets a hold of this. Da Twin Prince will have everyone from New York, and beyond, singing right along.

EASTCOAST HIPHOP >> Azazel releases explosive new hiphop album “Fireproof”

How ironic: to coin your project, “Fireproof”, and have it be one of the most volcanic debuts of the new year. That alone testifies to the cleverness of New York emcee, Azazel; yet, if in need of further convincing, his talent in the booth will do the job. Over beats produced by Retnik Beats, Lucid Sounds, 808Melo, Jxke, and Shakespere, among others; Azazel wears many faces. And he breathes fire from the mouth of each and every one of them as the album evolves. A fully-automatic flow ricochets throughout the intro, “Armageddon”, afore quelling into calm, yet jaw-dropping conscious hip-hop on “See You In Hell”. His Slim Shady-esque imagery and storytelling blazes atop “The FuckList”; with that rapid-fire inflection creating a quintessential closer out of the last track, “Crossroads”. In between this madness, on the other, equally impressive 9 tracks, is solid, diabolical Hip-Hop. To the bone, Azazel is a true lyricist. Throughout the project, he pens each and every word with purpose; manifesting fire-and-brimstone bars that utterly melt the mic. “Fireproof” is a prime example of the Golden Era attitude and appreciation for Rap, meeting its modern, 808-driven production. It is an extraordinary debut by the Brooklyn rapper; yet, do not let its name deceive you. You’re one play-button click away from your headphones erupting into flames.

Christiano Can debut hiphop album "F . A . N . S" is here!

Christiano Can

"F . A . N . S"

Silky, soulful and smooth. Those three words will be the first and only rebounding through your mind, once play is clicked on Christiano Can’s “F.A.N.S” extended-play. As the rapper’s debut project, “F.A.N.S” seeks to make a grandiose introduction; and it delivers that statement in more eclectic ways than one. First and foremost, the soulful, sophisticated textures of this music make it a awe-striking, pleasant listen from the jump. Golden horns, colorful chords, and a luscious female vocal form a dreamscape out of the intro-track “D.A.F.H.A.H”. Style changes as the tape progresses; with a variety of sounds, rhythms and grooves, erupting from the depths of the mix. Raw, quirky Hip-Hop is at the root of “Oddly Awkward” (Neo-Soul gushing throughout its remix), and pure, undulating Funk bubbling about the final track, “I’m Only Crazy”. Alongside this evidence of Christiano Can’s uniqueness as an artist, there is the overwhelming proof of his competence as a rapper. As the EP surges on, Christiano draws from myriad flows. On the track, “Oddly Awkward”, something Eminem-esque is transpiring; with our genre-rapper having the lyrics to do it justice, as well. He is nonchalant on the remix, smooth on the intro-track, and energetic on the out. As sporadic as “F.A.N.S” is as a body of work, it is immensely impressive and certainly satisfying. All over it is the mark of true musical artistry; and we can do nothing but look forward to Christiano Can’s drops on the 5th of every month this year. Fingers crossed, they’ll be as jaw-dropping as this.

Tangelica Dominae aims for the top spot with new banger “Boss Moves”

While Cardi B and Nicki Minaj are embroiled in beef, another femcee is darting straight for the crown. She is North Carolina’s own, Tangelica Dominae; and in 2019, she’ll be making “Boss Moves” to become the new Queen of Rap. “Boss Moves” is a stark booming anthem. Her fearless intention to rupture the rap game translates perfectly through the sinister bounce of its backing progression. Hellish, is the orchestral hit that layers these melodies; giving way to Tangelica’s tenacious bars and an impeding 808’s pound. The moment that 808 impacts, our Raleigh rapper is launched into a tirade of lyrics and flow. Through this earth-shattering, speaker-rattling banger, Tangelica is empowering to her fellow, independent ladies. She embodies a boldness and bravado in the booth, that every woman listening can applaud. Letting every one of them know they can make the same “Boss Moves” she is. For, if our Southern powerhouse continues making anthems like this, it won’t be long before Cardi and Nicki are ghosts of the past.
